The
Utah Energy Conservation Coalition d.b.a. Energy Rated Homes
of Utah is a statewide nonprofit organization whose purpose
is to provide opportunities for the citizens of Utah to receive
energy education, take advantage of special mortgage programs,
and to encourage energy conservation in all areas of the housing
industry. A wide variety of videos covering all areas of residential
energy conservation are available for checkout through the UECC/ERHU
office.
The
Utah Energy Conservation Coalition was formed in 1990 and provides
energy education and services in areas such as:
· 2000 IECC - International Energy Conservation Code
· Residential Blower Door Testing and Air Leakage Diagnosis
· Energy Auditor Training & Certification
· Residential Energy Audits (using the DOE NEAT audit
system)
· Home Energy Rating
· Energy Video Checkout
Energy Rated Homes of Utah works with lenders, Realtors, builders,
home buyers, sellers, appraisers, and utilities to promote affordable,
energy-efficient housing throughout Utah. Through its unique
membership with Energy Rated Homes of America, it is the only
home energy rating program in Utah that is associated with Federal
National Mortgage Association (Fannie
Mae), the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, (Freddie
Mac), the EPA
Energy Star Homes program.
